Back From The Mobile Enterprise Executive Summit

Mees I just wanted to share with you all some of the highlights from the 2008 Mobile Enterprise Magazine Executive Summit.  It was yet another great event that showcased some great examples of the challenges and successes that organizations have had from deploying enterprise mobility solutions.  I particularly enjoyed Don Lisle's opening keynote speech.

Don is Sr. Vice President of Growth Ventures & Innovation at Citibank.  What intrigued me most about his discussion was the balance he had to make between wanting to promote mobility solutions in his organization and the fact that the financial sector has been under extreme challenges of late.  I didn't always agree with what he said (he was a big proponent of the iPhone in the enterprise), but he had some great comments regarding mobile device management and how organizations should go about developing a mobility strategy.

In fact, on the second morning, I had the pleasure to moderate a round table about mobility management where I got to hear some great real-world examples of how medical organizations were dealing with mobile device management.  Bottom line, I came out of the event as jazzed as ever about enterprise mobility.  By the way, during the golf outing, I was able to embarass myself more than ever...ugh.

In case you weren't able to make it this past year, you should definitely try to make it in 2009.
